Beautiful autumn leaves season will come!!

Yellow, orange, red… colourful autumn leaves, known as koyo in Japanese, draw just as many visitors in autumn as the cherry blossoms do during spring. The viewing of autumn leaves is a popular activity in Japan. There are many popular spots to see autumn leaves in Tokyo !!


Here are some recommended sightseeing spots to enjoy autumn leaves in Tokyo.

 

【Rikugien Gardens】
・Best time to see:mid November to early December

・Illumination: 19 November to 7 December 2016, sunset to 21:00 (entry until 20:30)
・Access: 7 min. walk from Komagome Sta. on JR or subway (N14)

【Hamarikyu Gardens】
・Best time to see:late November to mid. December
・Access: 7 min. walk from Tsukijishijo (E18) / Shiodome (E19) Station on subway

【Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden】
・Best time to see:early November to early December
・Access: 5 min. walk from Shinjuku Gyoenmae (M10) station on subway

【Meiji Jingu Gaien】
・Best time to see:late November to early December
・Jingugaien Ginkgo Festival:18 November to 5 December, 10:00-18:00(weekday),9:30-18:00(weekend), 10:00-14:00(5th Dec.)
